The New York Times (1851-2019) offers full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection includes digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue.
Gale OneFile: News
Provides access to more than 2,300 major U.S. regional, national, and local newspapers, as well as leading titles from around the world. It also includes thousands of images, radio and TV broadcasts, and transcripts.

Music Periodicals Database (IIMP)
Music Periodicals Database (IIMP) provides indexing, abstracting and selected full-text coverage of the most important scholarly and popular music journals published today.
JSTOR Arts & Sciences
JSTOR offers high-quality, interdisciplinary content to support scholarship and teaching. It includes leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as select monographs and other materials valuable for academic work. Journals are always included from volume 1, issue 1 and include previous and unrelated titles.
RILM Abstracts of Music Literature
RILM is a comprehensive music bibliography featuring citations, abstracts, and indexes. Publications originate from 151 countries and are in 214 languages. There are currently over 550,000 records in RILM on traditional music, popular music, and classical music. Coverage of all document types begins in 1967. Coverage of Conference Proceedings goes back to 1835.

RISM: Repertoire Internationale des Sources Musicales
RISM is recognized within the music world as the central place for the documentation of music primary sources. The RISM publications are divided into the following series:

Series A: inventories alphabetically by composer
Series B: bibliographies of materials organized by topic
Series C: directories of music research libraries
RIPM: Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals
RIPM focuses on music and musical life from approximately 1800 to 1950. It was established to provide access to eighteenth-, nineteenth- and twentieth-century periodical literature dealing with music and to facilitate and encourage research based on this often neglected documentary resource. While the importance of this immense body of literature has long been recognized by the musicological community, RIPM represents the first effort to undertake and to coordinate retrospective periodical indexing on an international scale.

A rich digital library that offers collections of art images and descriptive information as well as the software tools to enable active use of the collections.The ARTstor Library's content includes more than one million images covering a wide variety of subject areas, including art, architecture, music, religion, anthropology, literature, world history, American Studies, Asian Studies, Classical Studies, Medieval Studies, Renaissance Studies, and more.

RIdIM: Repertoire International d'Iconographie Musicale
A new database project that aims to catalog and classify pieces of iconography relevant to the study of music. It includes images as well as links to the source for each image.

Search Google Scholar

Google Scholar is a way to search across many scholarly disciplines and sources while using the familiar Google interface. Resources include articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar allows users to search across more than just normal web sites with non scholarly results filtered out.
