Sensory Room

The Sensory Room offers a calming space designed to support students who need a quiet retreat from the sensory demands of campus life. Equipped with soothing lighting, comfortable seating, and sensory tools, this room provides a welcoming environment to relax, refocus, and recharge.

How do I reserve the Sensory Room? 

Go to https://belmont.libcal.com/reserve/student and reserve with the day and time you would like.  The reservation link will automatically select 30 minutes, if you would like to reserve for more time please select the drop down menu below the reservation schedule to select your end time (up to an hour). 

How do I access the Sensory Room after I reserve it? 

The sensory room is located on the 3rd floor of the library next to classroom 300 in office 301. After booking, you will receive an email confirming your reservation which includes a unique 4 digit code that will unlock the sensory room for the time that you reserved. 

How long can I use the Sensory Room? 

The Sensory Room can be booked for 15 minute intervals up to an hour at a time.

How many people can use the Sensory Room at a time? 

Up to 4 people can use the sensory room within one reservation. 

What are the hours of operation for the Sensory Room? 

The sensory room is available for use the following days and times when the library is open:

  • Sunday:1 pm - 10 pm
  • Monday-Thursday: 8 am - 10 pm
  • Friday: 8 am - 4 pm
  • Saturday: 9 am - 4 pm

Code of Conduct

To help maintain the restorative environment, we ask that all library users:

  • Respect the space by handling all furniture & items with care, sanitizing anything you've used, & putting everything back in its place before leaving.
  • Food is not permitted. Closed drink containers are welcomed. 
  • Be considerate of noise. The Sensory Room is not soundproof & is not designed for socializing or private conversations. 
  • Be mindful of your reservation time. This space is not intended to be a traditional study room.
