The Creation story is described in the first two chapters of Genesis: "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness..." (Genesis 1:26). For Catholics, this is very important and many take it to mean that God has given humans a special role and status.

The Catholic Church practises seven sacraments. Many of them, such as private prayer, fit easily into daily life, whilst some pilgrimages and sacraments may only happen once in a lifetime.

The Bible is a central source of authority for Catholics and reveals many important teachings. Catholics also respect the authority, leadership and teaching of the Pope.
